Suthers to celebrate 70th anniversary
Hubert and Evelyn (Jurgensmeier) Suther of Wetmore will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary this month. They were married April 18, 1951, at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church in Fidelity.
The couple has two children, Harlan Suther and his wife, Janet, of Wetmore and Yvonne Speck and her husband, Fred, or Guymon, Okla. Harlan’s first wife was the late Vickie Suther.
They were also blessed with four grandchildren, Mitchell Suther and his wife, Maggie, of Sabetha, Marcus (who died at infancy), Cameron Speck and his wife, Alicia, of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Lance Speck of Greeley, Colo.
Their families include six great-grandchildren, Mazi and Charlie Speck of Oklahoma City, Okla., Jersey Speck of Greeley, Colo., and Liam, Charlotte and Luella Suther of Sabetha.
