McCauleys to celebrate 50th anniversary

James C. and Rowena J. McCauley of Mayetta will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Feb. 19, with a dinner and reception hosted by their children at 6 p.m. at Hoyt Park Community Center. Family and friends are welcome to attend.

James C. McCauley and Rowena J. Harding were married on Saturday, Feb. 26, 1972, at Mayetta Catholic Church.

When they were first married, James and Rowena lived in Beloit. They later moved to Mayetta.

James is retired from the Mayetta Post Office, and Rowena is retired from pet grooming. They both currently work on the family farm.

They are members of Lighthouse Bible Church in Topeka. They enjoy living on their farm, horses, rodeos and spending time with family and friends.

James is the son of James R. and Vivian McCauley. Rowena is the daughter of James and JoAnn Harding and Max and Dorothy Bennett.

The couple has three daughters, Tammy Rohrer and her husband, Daniel, of Mayetta; Jami Reynolds and her husband, Akim, of Mayetta; and Gwenn Bartels and her husband, Leslie, of Holton.

They also have five grandchildren, Mckenzie Handley, Vivian Reynolds, Adalyn Bartels, McCauley Rohrer and Amelia Bartels.
