Douglas and Lisa Brown of Olathe and Dorothy Narayanan of Salt Lake City, Utah, are happy to announce the engagement of their children, William Spencer Brown to Satya Narayanan of Columbus, Ohio.
The future groom graduated from Olathe Northwest High School, attended The University of Kansas and obtained a degree in business and elementary education from Emporia State University.
He taught one year in USD 501 in Topeka before going to work for Cerner in Kansas City. He now works from his home office and is employed by VML, a global marketing agency.
The future bride graduated with a degree in mass media and a major in advertising from St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai, India. She then received her master of business administration at Mudra Institute of Communication.
In 2017, her family immigrated to the United States. She graduated from Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis, Mo. After business school, she was offered a marketing position in Topeka at Colgate-Palmolive’s pet food division at Hill's Pet Nutrition.
In February, the couple moved to Columbus, Ohio, where Satya started a job in the pediatric innovation division at Abbott Nutrition.
The future groom is the grandson of Barbara and Dennis Hutchinson of Circleville, George and Jan Brown of Alma, William “Bill” Meares of Olathe and the late Karen Meares.
The couple will wed April 15 at the Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Lawrence.
