Wade Wilson 1988-2026
Wade Lucas Wilson passed away unexpectedly on April 30, 2026, leaving behind family and friends who will miss him very much.
Wade was born Dec. 24, 1988, in Belleville. He proudly served six years in the Kansas National Guard, a time in his life that reflected his willingness to serve and be part of something greater than himself.
Wade enjoyed playing pool and disc golf, activities that brought him relaxation, and time spent with friends and family. He appreciated simple moments, good conversation and family gatherings with those he loved most. Wade took pride in working with his hands and enjoyed mechanic work and learning new trades.
He is survived by his mother, Cindy Karlin; his father, Jay Wilson (Mary); his sister, Brittany Taylor (Kevin); his nephews and niece, Tacin, Griffin and Austyn; and his children, Aidan, Olivia, Kailey, Kohen and Kaisyn. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather and grandmother, Darrell and Bernita Basnett.
Wade will be remembered for the good moments, the laughter and the love that remains through his children and those who cared for him. He will be deeply missed and forever carried in our hearts.
A celebration of Wade’s life will be held at a later date with close family and friends.
A family-funded scholarship will be established in Wade’s honor to support future educational opportunities for Royal Valley High School students.
Memorial donations may be made toward a commemorative bench in Wade’s memory to be set up at the Hoyt ballfields.
