Vernon Bell 1951-2017
Vernon Bell, 65, Holton, died Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2017, at his home.
He was born Dec. 17, 1951, at Boonesville, Mo., the son of Lloyd Vernon Bell Sr. and Treva Coble Bell.
Mr. Bell was a heavy equipment operator for 28 years. He had worked for Ideker Construction in the Kansas City area, Bernritter Construction at Havensville and Hamm Quarries and Construction.
Survivors include four daughters, Felicia “Febie” Hale, Holton, Brandi Bell, Topeka, Jessica Bell, Greenville, S.C., and Becky Bell, in Florida; a brother, Raymond Bell and wife Carolyn, Holton; four grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Per Mr. Bell’s wishes, cremation is planned and no services are scheduled. Chapel Oaks Funeral Home is assisting the family.
