Tina Oliver 1964-2024

Tina Rose “Mon-Yon” Oliver, 60, Topeka, died Saturday, March 23, 2024, at her home.
She was born Jan. 20, 1964, in Topeka, the daughter of Howard Kinton and Melvene Lois Matchie Oliver. She earned her GED.
Miss Oliver served in the U.S. Air Force and Kansas Air National Guard for more than 20 years. During her enlistment, she provided support services during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm.
She was a member of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Melvene Oliver; two sisters, Audrey Oliver and Leah Zakar; and a brother, Shaun Alvin LaBranch.
Survivors include her father, Howard K. Oliver, Topeka; a son, Patrick Oliver and wife Alison, Topeka; a daughter, Michelle Manrose, Topeka; four sisters, Deb McLinn and husband Phil, Topeka, Nancy Henry and husband Roger, Mayetta, Misti Burns and husband Chris, Wylie, Texas, and Linda LaBranch, Paola; a brother, John Zakar Jr., Valdosta, Ga.; and three grandchildren.
Miss Oliver will lie in state at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton after 2 p.m. Friday, March 29 with visitation from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 30 in Danceground Cemetery.
