Therese M. Koch 1932-2014

 

On Dec. 25, 2014, the Lord Jesus called Therese M. Koch, 82, Holton, to be with him on his birth­day in heaven. She had Alz­heimer’s and was trying to recover from a stroke and a fall.

Therese was born Nov. 12, 1932, in St. Benedict, Kansas, to Leo and Anna Fangman Haverkamp.

She retired from Holton Com­munity Hospital.

Therese was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church in Holton and the Altar Society at the church.

She married Adrian Koch on Nov. 25, 1950, at St. Benedict. He survives, of the home.

Therese was preceded in death by three brothers, Melvin, Marcel­lus “Sally” and Vincent Haverkamp.

Other survivors include a son, Alan (Cathy) Koch, St Inigoes, Md.; a daughter, Marilyn Miles, Ozawkie; three granddaughters, Angela and Susan Koch, Jackson­ville, Fla., and Tara (Miles) Ander­son, Alma; three great-grandchil­dren, Ava, Conner and Emree; two sisters, Leanna Baker, Topeka, and Lucille Kramer, Goodyear, Ariz.; and two sisters-in-law, Annie Haverkamp and Dorothy Haverkamp, both of, Seneca.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30 at St. Dominic Catholic Church. Bur­ial will follow in St. Mary's Ceme­tery at St. Benedict. Therese will lie in state at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Holton, where a Parish Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. on Monday, followed by visitation.
