Ronald Sanchez 1946-2015
Ronald J. Sanchez, 68, formerly of Topeka, died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2014, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tacoma, Wash.
He was born on April 17, 1946, in Topeka, the son of Joseph and Julia LeClere Sanchez.
He was a disabled U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Vietnam War.
He was a member of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation.
He married Patricia Sanchez of Topeka. They divorced.
Survivors include a son, Robert J. Sanchez, Kansas City, Mo.; and a sister, Linda Leavitt, Kauai, Hawaii. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ortiz; and two brothers, Frederick and Dennis Sanchez.
Graveside inurnment services with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 16 in the Danceground Cemetery. Mercer Funeral Home in Holton is in charge of arrangements.
