Ronald Sanchez 1946-2014

Ronald J. Sanchez, 68, formerly of Topeka, died December 24, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tacoma, Wash.

He was born April 17, 1946, in Topeka, the son of Joseph and Julia LeClere Sanchez.

Mr. Sanchez was a disabled U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation.

He was formerly married to Patricia Sanchez of Topeka.

Survivors include a son, Robert J. Sanchez, Kansas City, Mo.; and a sister, Linda Leavitt, Kauai, Ha­waii. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ortiz; and two broth­ers, Frederick and Dennis Sanchez.

Private family burial will be held in Danceground Cemetery. Mercer Funeral Home in Holton is assist­ing the family with local arrange­ments.
