Ronald Cummings 1942-2024

Ronald F. Cummings, 82, formerly of Chandler, Texas, died Sunday, Dec. 8, 2024, at Overland Park Regional Medical Center.

He was born July 25, 1942, in Jackson County, the son of Raymond and Minnie Marshall Cummings.

Mr. Cummings worked as a truck driver for various trucking companies in Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Connie Lorranie Taylor, Arlene Bridget Cummings and Rose Ellen Saothoff; and five brothers, Felix Virgil, Charles Neal, Raymond Eugene, Earl William and Paul Laverne Cummings.

Survivors include two sisters, Mary Catherine Merchan, Mobile, Ala., and Ruth Ann Cook, Chinchilla, Ala.; and nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 12 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Mayetta. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Thursday prior to the mass.
