Roman Wahwassuck 1980-2015
Raphael “Roman” Wahwassuck III (Quap quap), 34, Harrisonville, Mo., died Friday, May 22, 2015, in Harrisonville.
He was born July 30, 1980, in Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., the son of Raphael Wahwassuck II and Manuela Hensley. He was a 1999 graduate of Waynesville High School in Waynesville, Mo. He spent most of his life in Waynesville and later moved to Harrisonville.
Mr. Wahwassuck worked for Wal-Mart in Harrisonville.
He was a member of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation and the Drum Religion.
Survivors include his father, Raphael Wahwassuck II, Harrisonville, Mo.; his mother, Manuela Gervasio, Las Vegas, Nev.; his grandfather, Raphael Wahwassuck, Waynesville, Mo.; three daughters, Jade Kwinn, Jasmine Kwinn and Emerald Kwinn, all of Monroe, N.Y.; and a sister, Ishara Wahwassuck, Urich, Mo.
Drum services will be held Wednesday evening at the Danceground Building west of Mayetta. Burial will be held Thursday afternoon in Prairie Peoples Cemetery. Mercer Funeral Home in Holton is in charge of arrangements.
