Rodney Clemetson 1942-2023

Rodney Lewis Clemetson, 81, Holton, died Friday, Dec. 29, 2023, at his home.

He was born Nov. 19, 1942, in Holton, the son of Howard and Bonnie Salisbury Clemetson. He graduated from Holton High School and earned his bachelor’s degree in business from The University of Kansas.

Mr. Clemetson served in the U.S. Army, serving as a Russian linguist during the Vietnam War. He was a computer network engineer for Ampex Corporation in Colorado Springs, Colo.

He was a member of Holton American Legion Post 44.

He married Betty I. Catlin on Nov. 27, 1964, in Olathe. She survives.

Other survivors include a daughter, Heather Timmerman, Holton; a son, David Clemetson and wife Becki, Sharpsville, Pa.; three grandchildren, Carissa, Jared and Ethan; and a great-granddaughter, Harper Lee. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jerry Clemetson.

Private family memorial services will be held at a later date.
