Robert Plants 1936-2019

Robert D. Plants, 82, Gainesville, Ga., died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2019, at NEGA hospital in Gainesville, Ga.

He was born July 6, 1936, at Hoyt.

Mr. Plants served four years in the U.S. Air Force as an airplane mechanic.

He was a member of First Baptist Church of Gainesville, Ga.

He married Mildred L. Stolle. She survives.

Other survivors include a daughter, Linda K Plants, and a grandson, Peter J. Plants, both of Gainesville, Ga.; a brother, Jacob Plants and wife Edith, Lecompton; a brother-in-law, Richard Reed, Topeka; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Larry R. Plants; a brother, Clarence A. Plants; and a sister, Edith M. Reed.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9 at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Hoyt. Visitation will follow the service at the Hoyt Baptist Church fellowship hall.
