Randy Long 1959-2025

Randy Arden Long, 65, Topeka, died Friday, Feb. 21, 2025, at Midland Hospice House in Topeka, surrounded by family.

He was born Oct. 13, 1959, in Onaga, the youngest of eight children of Harold and Eva Long, and raised in Soldier.

Mr. Long was a truck driver.

He married Susan Long. They divorced; she survives.

Other survivors include two sisters, Almetta Bottom, Soldier, and Sandra Sawyer, Hoyt; three brothers, Leon Long and Dwight Long, both of Topeka, and Dale Long, Meriden; three children, David, Lubbock, Texas, Mary, Osage City, and Lisa, Vassar; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Marvin Long and Denzel Long.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 15 in Soldier Cemetery. A celebration of Mr. Long’s life will follow the services at Soldier Community Hall.
