Phyllis Tannahill 1945-2024

Phyllis Eileen Tannahill, 79, of Holton, passed away Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024, at The Pines South in Holton.

She was born March 15, 1945, the daughter of Ralph Dilman and Florence E. (Burton) Cattrell. She graduated from Circleville High School 1964.

Phyllis worked for many years in the kitchen at the Holton Hospital. She spent most of her working life as the housekeeping supervisor at the Jackson County Nursing Home.

Phyllis was a member of the Circleville Christian Church.

Phyllis was united in marriage to Ron Browning. They later divorced. To this union they shared a son, Steve Browning.

She later married Raymond Tannahill. They later divorced. To this union, they shared a son, Kelly Tannahill.

Phyllis is survived by her two sons, Steve Browning (Kelly) of Emmett and Kelly Tannahill (Loretta) of Holton; three sisters, Wilma Mosher of Odessa, Mo., Connie Woltje of Circleville and Mary Vaincourt (Ross) of Holton; two brothers, Larry Cattrell (Rita) of Circleville and Charles Cattrell (Ardeth) of Topeka; 14 grandchildren, Denny, Matt (Lisa) and Rochelle Browning, Kyler, Konnor, Karoline, Koy and Kennedy Tannahill, Eric and Adam Gudenkauf, Kara Bergman (Brent) and Chris, Kolby and Dalton Roush; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Florence Cattrell; and two brothers-in-law, Melvin Mosher and Ernie Woltje.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will follow in Circleville Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
