Patricia Platt 1957-2017
Patricia L. Platt, 60, Valley Falls, died Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2017, at her home.
She was born Jan. 24, 1957, at Santa Ana, Calif., the daughter of Charles E. and Barbara A. Godfrey Montgomery Sr. She graduated from Valley Falls High School in 1975.
Mrs. Platt served in the U.S. Navy. She later retired from the Kansas State Department of Revenue in Topeka after 35 years of service, then worked for International Fuel Tax Agreement Inc. for three years.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Valley Falls.
She married Mark Platt on July 6, 1991, at Meriden. He survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Brandi Atwell and husband Michael and Denise Wilson and husband Mike, all of Valley Falls; three brothers, Bobby and James Montgomery, both of Valley Falls, and Charles E. Montgomery Jr., Hoyt; a sister, Deanna Bernauer, Topeka; six grandchildren; and a great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jeff Montgomery.
Mass of Christian burial was held Saturday morning at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Valley Falls. Burial was held in Valley Falls Cemetery.
