Pam Bryant 1955-2021

Pamela Sue “Pam” Bryant, 65, of Holton, passed away Saturday, May 29, 2021, at Stormont-Vail Hospital.

She was born July 17, 1955, in Concordia, the daughter of Paul “Boots” Bryant and Laveta (Gibbens) Bengtson. 

Pam graduated in 1973 from Hardesty High School in Oklahoma and attended Brown Mackie College at Salina.

She worked for the State of Kansas in early years. Pam later retired from the U.S. Postal Service after serving 41 years in Topeka and Holton. She retired on April 1, 2019. She also worked for Towne Park Valet Service at Prairie Band Casino. 

Survivors include her son, Jordan Bryant of Holton; mother, Laveta Bengtson of Holton; two sisters, Paula Lira of Paxico and Judy Childers of Georgia; two brothers, Cecil Goodrick (Karen) of Utah and Paul Barnes (Amalie) of Germany; brother-in-law, Kevin Helus of Topeka; and many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Bryant; stepfather, Marvin Bengtson; two sisters, Trudy Bryant and Deborah “Deb” Helus; and a brother, Bruce Bryant. 

Cremation has taken place. Family will greet friends from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 10 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton.
