Nikki Lampinen 1971-2025

Nikki Wing Lampinen, 53, Topeka, died Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Midland Hospice House in Topeka.

She was born July 13, 1971, in Holton, the daughter of Gary and Donna Fowler Shafer.

Mrs. Lampinen had worked in the medical field all her life.

She married Donald Wing in 1992. He preceded her in death in 2021. She married Ronald Lampinen on May 25, 2024, in Topeka. He survives. She was also preceded in death by her mother.

Other survivors include her father and stepmother, Gary and Patti Shafer, Topeka; a sister, Trisha Cattrell and husband Travis, Circleville; a brother, Andrew Shafer, Topeka; a stepson, Donald Wing, Holton; a stepdaughter, Heather Holt and husband Rob, Mayetta; four grandchildren, Meaghan Harrison and husband Andrew, Reaghan Koon and husband John, Courtnee Wing and Colbee Wing; three great-grandchildren, Hunter, Hudson and Cooper; two nephews, Austin and spouse Madison and Joshua and spouse Sam; two nieces, Dakota and Kaylyn; and two great-nieces, Harper and Olivia.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 5 at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Hoyt. Inurnment will follow in Hoyt Cemetery.
