Myron Turner 1950-2026
Myron Earl Turner, 75, Holton, died Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at his home.
He was born July 13, 1950, in Colby, the son of Earl Everett and Ethel Mae Smith Turner. He attended Holton High School and graduated from Topeka High School in 1969. He graduated from Statistical Process Control Training and International Standards Organization (ISO) School in Denver, Colo.
Mr. Turner worked for Tractor Supply Company in the 1970s as a regional inventory controller in Kansas City, Mo., for Lubripac Oil Company in Houston, Texas, as vice president of quality assurance in the 1980s and for Slick 50 Oil Company in Houston, Texas, as vice president of quality assurance in the 1990s. He moved back to Holton in the mid-1990s and was owner and operator of the Lone Spur Saloon. From 1999 to 2012 he was owner and operator of GulfTex Lawn in Lake Jackson, Texas.
Survivors include a son, Bryon E. Turner; a daughter, Anna Turner; two brothers, Roger Turner and wife MaryAnn, in New Mexico, and Larry Turner and wife Gail, in California; and nieces and a nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant son, Craig Turner.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Mercer Funeral Home in Holton is assisting the family.
