Mona Davidson 1934-2018
Mona M. Davidson, 84, Hiawatha, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2018, at her home.
She was born March 20, 1934, at Dante, S.D., the daughter of Harvey and Hazel Hallman Myers. She moved with her family to the Gower, Mo., community, where she grew up and attended school. The family later moved to Dearborn, Mo., where she graduated from high school in 1952.
Mrs. Davidson and her family lived in the Kansas City area prior to moving to Hiawatha in 1969. She worked at the Abitibi Price wood shutter plant for about 26 years before retiring.
She married Richard Davidson Sr. on April 17, 1955, at Camden Point Baptist Church in Platte County, Mo. He survives.
Other survivors include three sons, Richard Davidson Jr. and wife Amanda, Hiawatha, Robert Davidson and wife Nancy, Mayetta, and Sean Davidson, Hiawatha; a daughter, Michelle Martindale and husband Roger, Everest; four brothers, Harvey Myers Jr., Oklahoma City, Okla., Robert Myers and wife Delaine, Tina, Mo., and Mike Myers and wife Vicki and Larry Myers, all of St. Joseph, Mo.; three sisters, Ellen Creager, Tina, Mo., and Betty Tebow and Bonnie Chavez, both of St. Joseph, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Charles, Sheldon, Roger and Billy; and two sisters, Ruth Myers and Sharon Melton.
A visitation/family reunion will be held in the spring of 2019 to celebrate and remember Mrs. Davidson’s life.
