Mike Rowell 1956-2024
Michael L. “Mike” Rowell, 67, Robinson, died Thursday, Oct. 17, 2024, at The University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City.
He was born Dec. 15, 1956, in Falls City, Neb., the son of LaVern and Catherine Liberty Rowell. He attended Gracemor School and Topping Intermediate School, graduating from Southeast Consolidated School in 1975. He attended Peru State College.
Mr. Rowell joined the Nebraska National Guard in 1982. He worked at Flair Fold in Hiawatha until 1995, then worked for Mac Processing in Sabetha until 2017.
He married Mindy Crumb on June 24, 1995. She survives.
Other survivors include his children, Rachel and husband Lee, Jacklyn Miller and husband Alex and son Scott; his mother-in-law, Mary Crumb; his father-in-law, Lynn Rash; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Dennis and Kerry Rowell; and a father-in-law, Jack Crumb.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24 at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Hiawatha. Butch Liberty of Kansas City will officiate. Cremation will follow services with private family burial of remains at the Barada (Neb.) Cemetery. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, where the family will meet one hour prior to services.
