Michael Miller
Michael Paul Miller, 58, Valley Falls, died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014, as a result of a farm accident near Valley Falls.
He was born Nov. 3, 1956, at Seneca, the son of Paul and Dolores Haug Miller. He graduated from Valley Falls High School in 1974.
Mr. Miller was a life-long farmer working with his parents and family as Miller Brothers Farms. He was a member of St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Valley Falls, where he served on the Church Finance Council. He had served on the Jefferson County Farm Service Agency Committee, as a school board member of USD 338 and on the Delaware Watershed Board.
He married Cynthia Broxterman on Nov. 18, 1977, at Topeka.
Survivors include his wife Cindy, of the home; two sons, Jeremy (Beena) Miller, Frisco, Texas, and Andrew (Elizabeth) Miller, Valley Falls; a daughter, Jenny Miller, Overland Park; his parents, Paul and Dolores Miller, Valley Falls; four brothers, Tim (Micaela) Miller, Corinth, Texas, Mark (Terry) Miller, Ted (ELane) Miller and James (Rose) Miller, all of Valley Falls; two sisters, Laurie (Kevin) Glassel, Valley Falls, and Linda (Danny) Meredith, Berryton; his mother-in-law, Norma Broxterman, Topeka; and seven grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial was scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014, at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Valley Falls. Burial was to follow at the parish cemetery. A prayer service followed by a visitation was to be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, at the church.
