Mary Mora 1939-2019

Mary Ruth Mora, 80, Holton, died Saturday, Nov. 9, 2019, at her home.

She was born Aug. 5, 1939, in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of George and Mary McCallum McCullough. She graduated from North High School in Minneapolis, Minn., in 1957.

Mrs. Mora worked as a switchboard operator and later as a waitress for many years. She worked as a Certified Nurses Aide with Home Health in Colorado, and for Frito-Lay in Topeka and Oldham’s Sausage Plant in Holton.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Holton and led the Senior Sunday School Class at the church.

She married Reuben Clark. They divorced in 1972. She married Chris Mora in January of 1991. He died in 2003.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Michael Clark, in 1991; and a sister, Martha Cox.

Survivors include a son, David Clark, Valley Falls; four daughters, Theresa Clark, Cheryl Anderson, Lori Bellew and husband Craig and Jeanne Baldwin, all of Holton; a brother, Timothy McCullough, and a sister, Esther Klay and husband Jon, all of Inverness, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church. Family and friends will meet from 10 a.m. until service time on Tuesday. Mrs. Mora will lie in state today at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Holton.
