Marvin Bairow 1941-2017

 

Marvin Dale Bairow, 75, West­moreland, died Thursday, Jan. 26, 2017, at the Wamego Health Cen­ter.

He was born Oct. 3, 1941, in Westmoreland, the son of William and Viola Repp Bairow. He at­tended local schools and graduated in 1959 from Westmoreland High School.

Mr. Bairow was a farmer and stockman. He had also worked for the State of Kansas.

He married Mary Harrison on Sept. 24, 1966, in Onaga. She sur­vives.

Other survivors include two daughters, Lisa Baumgartner and husband Brian, Holton, and Tammy Alcantar and husband Jose, Topeka; six grandchildren, Cole Baumgartner, Westmoreland, Clay Baumgartner and Kalinn Baum­gartner, both of Holton, and Ma­rissa Alcantar, Raina Alcantar and Jaidyn Alcantar, all of Topeka; and two sisters-in-law, Donna Bairow, Holton, and Margaret Bairow, Westmoreland. He was preceded in death by his parents and two broth­ers, Wayne Bairow and Galen Bairow.

Private family graveside services will be held at Westmoreland City Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Westmoreland Township 7 Volun­teer Fire Department or a charity of the donor's choice, sent in care of Campanella-Evans Mortuary, P.O. Box 232, Wamego, KS 66547.
