Linda Kirkham 1952-2026

Linda Lee Kirkham, 74, Holton, died Thursday, Aug. 13, 2026, at Anew Healthcare Nursing Home in Holton.

She was born March 23, 1952, in Atchison, the daughter of Robert Eugene and Katherine Mary Welch Robinson. She graduated from Jackson Heights High School in 1971.

Ms. Kirkham worked for several years in the packaging department at Oldham’s in Holton. She was also owner and operator of the Mesquite Club, worked as a bartender at Holton Country Club, served as a cook for the Jackson Heights school district and managed the café at the Holton Livestock Exchange.

Survivors include a son, Jason Kirkham, Holton; two granddaughters, Katelynn Kirkham and Alexis Lakin; nine great-grandchildren, Kyarah, Roslin, Aracellie, Rowdy, Paislee, Cutter, Santiago, Josslyn and Luciano; and a sister-in-law, Otha Robinson.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Steve Robinson.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Cemetery in Atchison. Ms. Robinson will lie in state from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.
