Layne Swanagan 1936-2023

Floy Layne Swanagan, 86, formerly of Holton, passed away at her home in Topeka on Tuesday, March 14, 2023.

Layne, as she was known to friends and family, was born in Wichita on Nov. 8, 1936.

Layne was an avid reader and spent as much time as she could studying the Bible and books on theology. She enjoyed doing research, quilting, crocheting and playing with her beloved cat, Sarah. She rarely let a week go by without sending many encouraging messages to her friends. She loved attending the Sovereign Grace Baptist Church of Topeka.

She is survived by her son, Jeff (Sandy) Wendorff of Holton; and two grandchildren, Holly Wendorff of Oskaloosa and Tyler Wendorff of Silver Lake.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Elsie Bush of Eureka.

A private memorial service was held.
