Karra Magnett 1940-2023

Karra Lee Magnett, 83, of Lillis, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 17, 2023, at her home.

She was born Jan. 11, 1940, in Exeter, Calif., the daughter of Karl and Helen McBroom Roach.

Karra had worked at the dress factory in Onaga and later cleaned homes and businesses in the Onaga, Lillis and Frankfort areas. She loved to ride horses and had a passion for all animals.

She married Bill Brockman. They were divorced. She later married Mark A. Magnett on May 28, 1983, in Westmoreland. He survives, of the home.

Karra was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Glen Ellis; a grandson; her half-brother, Charles Persons; and a niece, Angela Persons.

Other survivors include a son, Scott Brockman (Penny), Holton; two stepsons, Mark J. Magnett (Amber), Onaga, and Tony Magnett (Chardy); a stepdaughter, Jamie McNally (Jared), Lawrence; a half-brother, William Persons, Trimble, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service for Karra will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 22 at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Onaga. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until service time. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Mt. Calvary Cemetery at Blaine.
