Juanita Jones 1936-2019
Juanita Marie (Noll) Jones, 82, passed away Monday, June 17, 2019, at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 20 at the Corpus Christi Church, Mooney Creek, with Fr. Lazar Carasala as celebrant. Burial will follow in Corpus Christi Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 19 at the O’Trimble Funeral Chapel, 329 Main St. , Nortonville.

Juanita was born Nov. 17, 1936, in rural Winchester, the fourth child of A.T. and Pearl (Servaes) Noll. She attended Oak Grove Grade School in the Mooney Creek community of Jefferson County and graduated from Winchester Rural High School in 1954.
Juanita worked for more than 30 years as a payroll clerk for the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth (SCL), first at St. John Hospital and then at the Sisters of Charity Mother House. During that period, she processed 798 payrolls, missing only one pay period because the doctor would not release her to walk down the hospital hallway and process payroll.
She married Eugene F. Kramer in 1959; they later divorced. She married Charles E. Jones on July 6, 1977; he preceded her in death in 1999. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a brother Thomas T. Noll; a sister, Judy Sigman; a stepson, Dayle Jones; and a grandson, Brandon Behne.
She is survived by a daughter, Peggy Hill of Holton: son Tony (Sherry) Kramer of Easton; stepdaughter Diane (John) Behne and stepson David (Tracy) Jones of Easton; and stepson Donald Jones of Leavenworth. She was blessed with six granddaughters, five grandsons and 10 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters Nina (Leo) Kreutzer, Doris (Don) Ruhlman and Ruth Hoffman; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Noll; and many nieces and nephews. Juanita was also preceded in death by a lifelong friend, John Sloop.
Juanita’s love was everything in nature including flowers, birds, fishing, mushroom hunting and watching meteor showers in the middle of the night. Her time was always spent tending to her garden and flowers, and tromping through the woods on her parents’ farm. There was no boundary to her care for others and her desire to help people. She was a guiding light and shoulder to cry on for many. Her love will live on in all whom she touched.
