JoRae Krogman 1937-2017
Helen “JoRae” Krogman, 80, Holton, died Thursday, Aug. 24, 2017, at Medicalodges Jackson County in Holton.
She was born Aug. 17, 1937, the daughter of William Henry and Helen Keifer Nelson. She graduated from Effingham High School in 1955.
Mrs. Krogman was a homemaker who later worked as a paraprofessional at Holton High School.
She was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church in Holton and the Altar Society at the church.
She married Robert A. Krogman on Aug. 10, 1957, at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Holton. He survives.
Other survivors include a son, Gary Krogman and wife Beth, Silver Lake; two daughters, Nancy Kathrens and husband Jeff, Holton, and Janet Gilliland, Shawnee; seven grandchildren, Bailey Renfro and husband Cameron, Perry Krogman, Rylie Krogman, Jaimie Goleman and husband Leif, Mark Kathrens, Joni Wardosky and husband David and Jenna Gilliland; and a great-grandson, Cameron Wardosky. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Michael Krogman, who died shortly after birth; and a brother, Dwight Eugene Nelson.
Mass of Christian burial was held Monday morning at St. Dominic Catholic Church. Burial followed in Mount Calvary Cemetery at Holton.
