James “Jim” Meyer died of cancer Thursday, July 30, 2015.
Jim was born Nov. 16, 1952, in Cleveland, Ohio,
After seven years in the Army, Jim graduated with a degree in business from Kansas State University.
He was a career banker in Topeka at Central National Bank, and in Holton as president of Farmers State Bank. Jim retired from banking three years ago to be a goat rancher near Hoyt.
Jim is survived by wife Beth, stepdaughters Devin Cooper and Piper Abernathy, stepgrandson Archer Abernathy, three brothers and two sisters.
A memorial fund has been established at the K-State Wesley in Manhattan.
