Jerry Hundley 1936-2016
Jerry D. Hundley, 80, of Springdale, Ark., died Saturday, July 9, 2016, from a sudden bout with cancer.
He was born May 3, 1936, in Holton, to Ernest and Gladys Irene (Spicer) Hundley.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Loretta (Pierson) Hundley; four children, Janita Blake of Springdale, Ark., Danny Hundley and wife Julie of Byron, Ga., Jerry C. Hundley and wife Janice of Lampe, Mo., and Donella Bell and husband Jason of Springdale, Ark.; two brothers, Bill Hundley of Lawrence and Duane Hundley and wife Marge of Holton; two sisters, Virginia Merwin of The Colony, Texas, and Norma Farmer and husband Ken of Holton; seven grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Stanley Hundley.
Jerry attended Holton High School and had a variety of interests. He especially enjoyed his time working in law enforcement. He also worked at Clark’s Chevrolet for many years as an auto body technician. After retirement he worked at the Golden Eagle Casino and Branson Variety Theater in Branson, Mo., as a security officer.
