Jean Manuel 1937-2024

Jean Alice Manuel, 86, Havensville, died Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka.
She was born Sept. 18, 1937, at Newton, the daughter of Mack and Ethlyn Hargett Fellingham. She graduated from Phillips High School in Phillips, Texas in 1956.
Mrs. Manuel was a full-time farm wife. She had also worked as a nurse’s aide/ward clerk at Community Hospital Onaga for 35 years, at the Pyramid Dress Factory in Onaga and at Golden Acres Nursing Home in Onaga.
She was a member of the Lutheran faith.
She married Tex R. Manuel on April 7, 1957, at Borger, Texas. He survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Tammy Wesley and Terry Jordan and husband Terry, all of Havensville; a son, Tex “Rick” Manuel II and wife Teri, Havensville; a sister-in-law, Merlinda Fellingham, Albuquerque, N.M.; a brother-in-law, Dwayne Martin, Topeka; seven grandchildren, Brandi Wesley, Chance Wesley, Colt Wesley and wife Richelle, Tanner Jordan, Casey Parker and husband Scott, Tayla Manuel and Tex “Trey” Manuel III; nine great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Ethlyn Fellingham and Ross and Stella Manuel; a son-in-law, Bill Wesley; a sister, Janet Rannals; and a brother, Mick Fellingham.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 25 at Havensville Christian Church. Burial followed in America City Cemetery.
