Hiede Watkins 1972-2022

Hiede Ilene Watkins, 49, Holton, died Monday, March 14, 2022, at her home.

She was born July 26, 1972, in Holton, the daughter of Robert J. Rollins and Gail N. Simonsen Ross. She graduated from Royal Valley High School in 1990 and attended vocational technical school, earning an associate degree in paralegal studies.

Ms. Watkins worked as a certified nurse’s aide at Grand Villas (currently Vintage Park) in Holton. She worked for more than 22 years at Golden Eagle Casino in Horton as a vault supervisor and later as a supervisor of the revenue audit.

Survivors include her mother, Gail N. Ross, Holton; her father, Robert J. Rollins and wife Nancy, Lake Ozark, Mo.; four children, Marcus R. Rollins and wife Miranda, Fort Hood, Texas, Monica A. Potts, Holton, Zacherey R. Rollins-Johnson and wife Falicity, Denison, and Genna M. Rollins, Randolph; a sister, Kimberly D. Tate and husband Gabriel, Clay Center; a brother, Jeremy R. Rollins and wife Susan, Holton; and 15 grandchildren.

A private family viewing will take place at Mercer Funeral Home with cremation to follow.
