Helen Jones 1962-2015
Helen Marie Jones, 52, passed away Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015, at the Cancer Centers of America in Tulsa, Okla., after a hard fought battle with cancer with her husband by her side.
She was born Aug. 24, 1962, at Topeka, the daughter of Henry and Anna Chaney.
Helen was a certified medication aide and made a career of caring for residents at St. Marys Manors where she worked for more than 30 years.
She married Kenneth Jones on June 13, 1982. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include brothers, Jim (Sue) Chaney and Bob (Jody) Chaney; sons, Chris (Shantel) Jones, Aaron (Terri) Jones and James (Michaela) Jones; her daughter, Leianna Jones; stepdaughter Jennifer (Jeff) Applebee; grandchildren, Anthony, Aaron, Stephan, Taylor Brian, Alexis, Cameron, Christopher, Haylee, Lilee, Cyrus, JT and Zoe.
A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in Helen’s name and sent in care of the family at 1770 270th Rd., Soldier, KS 66534.
