Heather Browning 2007-2026
Heather Sierra Browning, 18, of Circleville, passed away as the result of a vehicle accident on Monday, Feb. 9, 2026, near Netawaka.
She was born Oct. 31, 2007, in Topeka, the daughter of Denny Lee Ken Browning and Jackie R. Whiting.
Heather was a senior at Jackson Heights High School and was attending Washburn Tech for welding. She had participated in track, volleyball, shooting sports and FFA. Heather was best known as a social bug. She had a love for sunflowers, sunsets and art.
She worked as a waitress for Sportsman Grill in Onaga and Mercer Que in Soldier.
Survivors include her father, Denny Browning (Patricia Anderson) of Circleville; mother, Jackie Browning of Blue Rapids; sister, Deanna Browning of Kansas City; brothers, Keaton DeWalt (Kendal) of Wamego and Drayton Browning of the home; grandparents, Steve Browning (Kelly) of Emmett and Annetta Browning of Circleville; great-grandparents, Ron and Margie Browning of Topeka; uncles, Matt Browning (Lisa) of Circleville, Eric Gudenkauf of Havensville and Adam Gudenkauf of Emmett; aunts, Rochelle Browning of Circleville and Jennifer Marten (Tim) of Onaga; nephew, Walker DeWalt; bonus brothers, Jakeb and Nethan Cauthon; bonus sister, Brylee Cauthon; bonus mom, Alida Andreasen; and bonus brothers, Colby, Logan and Wyatt Cannon and Baily Meredith.
Heather will lie in state from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 16 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Celebration of Life will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17 at the funeral home with visitation to follow until 11:30 a.m. Private family burial will be held Tuesday at Ontario Cemetery.
