Harvey Sauvage 1929-2017
Harvey Perl Sauvage, 87, Havensville, died Monday, April 17, 2017, at Medicalodges Jackson County.
He was born Nov. 2, 1929, in Emmett, the son of Carl Charles and Nellie “Mae” Day Sauvage. He attended Holton and Havensville schools.
Mr. Sauvage was a farmer and stockman south of Havensville.
He married Myra Lee Channel on Sept. 12, 1953, in Emmett. She survives.
Other survivors include a son, Douglas Sauvage and wife Lana, Havensville; a sister, Betty Myers, Havensville; two brothers, Carl Eugene “Gene” Sauvage, Havensville, and Bill L. Sauvage, Linn; three grandchildren, Jessica L. Stowers, Auston Sauvage and Dennis DeVader; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Marc H. Sauvage, on May 24, 2009.
Private family inurnment will be held in Havensville Cemetery. Mercer Funeral Home in Holton is in charge of arrangements.
