Glen Curtis 1942-2025
Glen David “Jr” Curtis Jr., 83, died Friday, Sept. 12, 2025 at his home with family by his side. He was born Sept. 12, 1942 in Holton, the son of Glen David Curtis Sr. and Buelah Gwendolyn (Scheidegger) Curtis.
Mr. Curtis served in the United States Army from May 1968 to August 1969 during the Vietnam War and four years for Army National Guard.
He worked in soil conservation for 19 years, as a bulldozer operator for Ratherts Construction in Nortonville and later worked for Wheeler Hardware. He retired at the age of 75.
He was a member of the Larkinburg Christian Church.
He married Linda Mae Krogmann on Oct. 3, 1970 in Wetmore. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include his children, Beth I. Curtis, Topeka, Glen D. Curtis III and wife Stacy, Holton, and Gary E. Curtis and wife Elizabeth, Arrington; two brothers, James L. Curtis and wife Vicky, Arrington, and Gene Curtis and wife Karen, Holton; and six grandchildren, Joseph, Nathan, David, Annaliza, Anthony and Isaac.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Buelah Curtis; a sister, Glenda Reeves; a brother, Gerald Curtis; and granddaughter, Elaine Mae Curtis.
Family will greet friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 15 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Memorial graveside services will be held at a later date at the Larkinburg Cemetery.
