Gina Bell 1957-2025

Gina Marie Bell, 68, Whiting, died Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at Vintage Park in Holton.

She was born March 29, 1957, in Wichita, the daughter of James A. Torney and Lila Nadine Lyden Torney. She graduated from Wichita Heights High School in 1976.

Mrs. Bell worked for Starkey’s Inc, an adult disability care home in Wichita, as a caregiver for more than 10 years and New Horizon in Valley Center for more than 10 years. She was a lifelong homemaker.

She married Kevin Curtis Bell on Aug. 24, 1980, in Wichita. He died May 27, 2019. She was also preceded in death by her parents, James A. and Lila N. Torney; a sister, Diane Lewis; and two brothers, Jeff Torney and Jay Torney.

Survivors include her children, Christa Montgomery and husband Seth, Whiting, and John Landrum and wife Destiney, Wichita; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 12 at Lancaster Church of Faith in Lancaster. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Mercer Funeral Home in Holton is assisting the family.
