Gerald Parker 1938-2019

Gerald Keith Parker, 81, Lancaster, died Friday, June 21, 2019, as the result of an automobile accident in Atchison County.

He was born Jan. 19, 1938, in Horton, the son of Chester N. and Anna B. Kruseburg Parker. He attended Halling Grade School in Denton and graduated from Leona High School in 1957. 

Mr. Parker served in the Kansas Army National Guard. He worked several places during his life, as a farmer early, then for Hannah Car Wash, Portland, Ore., then as Doniphan County Road Foreman and last as performing maintenance as a certified millwright for Abitibi Price in Hiawatha.

He was a member of Lancaster United Methodist Church.

He married Jolene Susan Copper in December of 1966. They divorced. He married Wanda Elaine Eagle on March 12, 1999. She survives.

Other survivors include four sons, Todd Parker, Lancaster, Scottie Parker, Sioux Falls, S.D., Joel Parker, Leona, and Joshua Parker and wife Crystal, Raytown, Mo.; two stepsons, Scottie Keller, Atchison, and Adam Keller, Effingham; a stepdaughter, Stephanie Garrison and husband Josh, Atchison; a brother, Richard M. Parker, Independence, Mo.; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Marilyn JoAnn Adams.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 26 at Lancaster United Methodist Church with the Rev. Seth Montgomery officiating. Burial followed in Lancaster Cemetery.
