Eva Rasch 1927-2017
Eva N. Rasch, 89, Topeka, died Friday, Jan. 20, 2017, at her home.
She was born Oct. 6, 1927, at Princeton, the daughter of Frank L. and Thelma H. Graves Herring. She graduated from Rock Creek High School north of Meriden.
Ms. Rasch worked at Jostens Printing and Publishing in Topeka for 31 years, retiring in 1991. She had also worked at Dollar General in Topeka as a cashier for 12 years.
She married Donald D. Rasch on Sept. 22, 1944, at Rock Creek. They divorced.
Survivors include a granddaughter, Virginia Rutherford, of the home; a son, Dana L. Rasch and wife Deborah, Peoria, Ariz.; two sisters, June Ashley, Denison, and Nelda McMillan, Topeka; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Marilyn Heintzelman; three brothers, Jay, James and Leonard Herring; and five sisters, Lynette Fleming, Leola McLain, Ruth Baker, Helen Sheldon and Mary Robison.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mercer Funeral Home in Valley Falls. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Valley Falls Cemetery.
