Ethel Thompson 1924-2022

Ethel M. (Seckinger) Thompson, 98, of Holton, passed away Monday, Aug. 22, 2022.

She was born March 8, 1924, in Lenape, the daughter of Ralph and Chelsea (Mathia) Seckinger.

Ethel married Harry Ewing Thompson on March 14, 1951, in Topeka. He preceded her in death on Jan. 30, 2013.

Survivors include her sisters, Opal Senogles, Treva Jean Frisbie and Cherie Seckinger; extended family of nieces and nephews; and her friends, Tom (Susan) Mulroy and Doug (Terry) Champange.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Bobby Dean Seckinger and sister Vida Wells.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9 at the Mount Hope Cemetery in the Penwell-Gabel chapel, 4700 S.W. 17th St., Topeka.
