Ethan Everts 1973-2017
Ethan A. Everts, 43, of Hoyt, died Sunday, June 11, 2017, at his home due to injuries sustained in a tractor accident.
He was born Dec. 16, 1973 in Dallas, Texas the son of Steven A. and Martha L. Nevitt Everts.
Ethan was known for his wit and humor and could make anybody laugh.
He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council No. 9535 in Mayetta, both in Mayetta.
Ethan was a maintenance technician for Banner Mobility in Topeka.
He married Christina A. McGrath on Jan. 3, 1998, at Immaculate Conception Church in St. Marys. She survives, of the home.
Ethan was preceded in death by his father, Steven A. Everts.
Other survivors include his children, Colin James, Abigail Rose and Madelyn Nicole Everts, all of the home; his mother, Martha Everts, Topeka; a sister, Emily L. Everts and a brother, Andrew S. Everts, both of Topeka.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 15 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. JosephCemetery at Hoyt. Ethan will lie in state Wednesday at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Hoyt, where a rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m., followed by visitation until 8:30 p.m.
