Ella Bahret 1963-2026

Ella May Bahret, 62, Holton, died Monday, Aug. 17, 2026.

She was born Oct. 2, 1963, in Onaga, the daughter of Blair Eddy and Carol Elder Bahret. She attended grade school in Havensville and graduated from Onaga High School in 1982.

Miss Bahret worked at the Golden Acres Nursing Home in Onaga, Jackson County Nursing Home, Holton Pizza Hut and Holton Country Mart. She recently retired from Southside Liquor Store in Holton.

She was a member of New Life Church of the Nazarene in Holton.

Survivors include three sisters, Arla Ogle, Topeka, Karla Bahret, Silver Lake, and Robin Velez, Parkville, Mo.; four brothers, Bert Bahret and wife Tina, Havensville, Earl Bahret and wife Julie, Soldier, Barton Bahret and wife Marcia, Valley Falls, and Steve Bahret and wife Gena Marquez, Grantville; two sisters-in-law, Terri Bahret, Silver Lake, and Penny Bahret, Lecompton; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Blair Eddy and Carol Elder Bahret; a sister, Illa Kay Koblar; three brothers, Roscoe, Ernie and Vernon; and a brother-in-law, Jim Ogle. 

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19 at New Life Church of the Nazarene in Holton. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Havensville Cemetery.
