Eddie Hollingdale 1958-2015
Edward “Eddie” Hollingdale, 57, Holton, passed away Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015.
Eddie was born March 5, 1958, in Pontiac, Mich., to Wanda Richman Winans and Robert Hollingdale. He graduated from Santa Fe Trail High school in 1978.
Eddie married Annette Wunder on Oct. 21, 1995, in Scranton. He was a commercial truck driver for The Exchange, formerly AAFES, for 11 years and worked part-time for Mellies Farms. Eddie was very proud of his one million mile pin, awarded for one million miles of safe, accident-free driving from The Exchange.
Eddie was on the National Bull Riding Circuit for several years and a member of Ducks Unlimited. He was an outdoorsman and loved fishing, farming, hunting and woodworking.
Eddie is survived by his wife, Annette; children, Dustin Mitchell (Sarah), Deric Dreher (Codie) and Aaron Dreher; grandchildren, Mackenna, Benelli, David and one more boy arriving in January; parents, Carl and Wanda Winans; siblings, Dawn Ann Hollingdale, Carol Dorr (John) and Wendy Sue Robert (David); and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, and his father, Robert Hollingdale.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 S.W. Urish Road, Topeka, KS 66614. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery at Sixth Street and Gage Boulevard.
