Donna Ford 1953-2017
Donna Jean Ford, 64, Holton, died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017, at Midland Hospice House in Topeka.
She was born March 5, 1953, in Holton, the daughter of Donald Gene and Lois Eileen Hainline Fowler. She graduated from Mayetta High School in 1971 and attended Highland Community College. She was a lifelong member of the Holton and Mayetta communities.
Mrs. Ford was a correctional officer at Lansing Women’s Prison for six years. She had also worked at Pruitt Appliance in Topeka. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Christ Church in Holton and Mayetta Eastern Star.
She married Gary Shafer in November 1970. They divorced. She married Rickland O. Ford on Oct. 10, 1979, in Mayetta. He survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Nikki Wing and husband Don and Trisha Cattrell and husband Travis, all of Circleville; a brother, Ricky Fowler and wife Rhonda, Topeka; two grandsons, Austin and Joshua Skillett; two stepgrandchildren, Heather Holt and Donald Wing Jr.; and four stepgreat-grandchildren, Meaghan, Reaghan, Courtnee and Colbee.
Private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
