Dolly Richard 1955-2026
Dolly Ann “Pash-Ko” Pahmahmie Richard, 71, Mayetta, died Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Stormont-Vail Regional Medical Center in Topeka.
She was born Jan. 11, 1955 in Holton, the daughter of Richard Sr. and Josie Wamego Pahmahmie. She graduated from Riverside High School in Oklahoma.
Mrs. Richard worked at Kickapoo Nation School as a bus driver and a cook. She worked for Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation as CHR driver and at Prairie Band Casino and Resort as a slot attendant, retiring after more than 20 years.
She was a member of Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation and Drum Religion.
She married Ivan Wayne Levier; he preceded her in death in 1982. She married Michael Lee “Mike” Richard on July 4, 1986, in Lebo. He survives.
Other survivors include three children, Maria Levier Patterson, Holton, John Henry Levier and wife Jennifer, Mayetta, and Tina A. Neiss and husband Paul, Hoyt; a sister, Anita Evans and husband Mando, Mayetta; two brothers, Alan “Boney” Pahmahmie and wife Brenda and Lawrence Pahmahmie, all of Mayetta; 14 grandchildren, Amiya, Antjuan Jr., Lynnaya, Anabella, Lucinda, Jazmine and Aiden Patterson, Sydney Knoxsah and husband Virgil, Sylvana Levier-Jessepe and husband Jordan Kapayou, Alyssa Wahwassuck and husband Gabriel, Ivan Levier, Andree Rodriguez and husband Rick, Alek Eaglestaff and husband Ta’te and Aven Mitchell; seven great-grandchildren, Kai’Arye, Frankie, Delena, Wizige, Wendy, Opal and Uriah; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Josie Pahmahmie; a sister, Phyllis Dunn; five brothers, Henry, Albert, Roy, Merle “Tuffy” and Richard “Chief” Pahmahmie; and a grandson, Anthony L. Levier.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, May 17 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Drum services will be held Sunday evening at the Danceground Building. Burial will be held Monday afternoon, May 18 in Wahwaksum Cemetery.
