Debra Sinclair 1955-2018
Debra Lynn Sinclair, 63, of Circleville, passed away Friday, Nov. 16, 2018, after a brief battle with cancer.
She was born April 20, 1955, in Axtell, the daughter of Rex Richard and Sondra June (Hladky) Hill.
Debra graduated from Jackson Heights High School in 1973, thereafter receiving numerous college credits through Highland Community College and Washburn University. She worked 13 years for the State of Kansas, Water Works Department, and for more than 15 years at Sac and Fox Casino in the finance department. Debra and her husband, Melvin, owned and operated M&D Tree Shearing for many years; she loved the simplicity of farm life and her goats.
Debra married Melvin Dwayne Sinclair on Oct. 14, 2000, in Soldier. He preceded her in death on April 27, 2017. She was also preceded in death by her father, Rex R. Hill; brother, Paul Michael Hill; and sister, Krystal Rae Hill.
Survivors include her mother, Sondra Hill of Soldier; two daughters, Shawnna Long of Oregon and Krystal “Krys” Bevan (Mike) of Auburn, Wyo.; a son, Rickey Long (Kimberly) of Humboldt, Neb.; a sister, Lorri Trimble (Brad) of Meriden; a brother, Rex Hill II (Cheryl) of Circleville; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 19 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will follow in Holton Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
