David Duncan 1965-2025

David Jerome Duncan, 59, of Holton, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2025, at his home in Holton.

He was born Oct. 26, 1965, in Wichita, the son of George and Norma Rae (Watkins) Duncan.

David graduated from Shawnee Heights High School in 1984 and had attended Baker University. He was a horticulturist at Blackburn Nursery in Topeka, and at Brady Nursery and John Deere Landscaping, both in Wichita.

David married Dora Lee Morrison on Aug. 8, 1990, in Topeka. They later divorced.

David enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s activities, gardening and all things “dogs.”

Survivors include his daughter, Shelby Pruett (Ben) of Holton; a sister, Sydney Sampson of Derby; a brother, Richard Gray (Lisa) of Wichita; and two granddaughters, Emeliya and Gemma, along with many nieces and nephews

David was preceded in death by his parents, George and Norma Duncan; sister, Joni Robinson; nephew, Steven Sampson; and grandson, Lane Pruett.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
