Darrell Colhouer 1938-2017
Darrell Ray Colhouer, 79, Topeka, died Thursday, Sept. 7, 2017.
He was born Jan. 30, 1938, in Hoyt, the son of Orville Colhouer and Inez Cunning Colhouer.
Mr. Colhouer owned and operated Darrell’s Service for more than 31 years.
He married Marilyn Kay Williams on Nov. 27, 1959, in Frankfort. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Kevin Colhouer and wife Becky and Brent Colhouer and wife Stacy; five grandchildren, Melissa Carter and husband Jeremy, Ashley Colhouer, Lance Colhouer, Kolton Colhouer and Kaylon Colhouer; two great-grandsons, Mason and Nixon Carter; a sister, Charlene Nesmith; and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Don and Tom.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Parker Price Chapel, 245 N.W. Independence Ave., Topeka. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel.
