Carol Buehler 1951-2022

Carol I. Buehler, 70, Holton, died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2022, at Onaga Community Hospital.

She was born Dec. 25, 1951, in Holton, the daughter of Loren P. and Cora Lee Hundley Dibbern. She graduated from Jackson Heights High School in 1970. She was a lifelong member of the Holton community.

Mrs. Buehler worked at Holton Community Hospital for more than 29 years and at Walmart for 24 years.

She was a member of Circleville Christian Church, Holton Hospital Auxiliary and Eagles Auxiliary Post 3417, serving in all positions. She was on the Jackson County Relay For Life Committee for many years, participating for 25 years.

She married Darold Jay Buehler on Jan. 18, 2003, at Circleville Christian Church. He survives.

Other survivors include three stepdaughters, Tammy Hennes, Clearwater, and Charla Carroll and Denise Hennes, both of Emporia; two stepsons, Chance Buehler and Loren Buehler, both of Kansas City, Mo.; a sister, Linda Walder and husband Carl, Delia; two brothers, Kenny Dibbern and wife Joan, Holton, and Paul Dibbern and wife Sheri, Netawaka; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and her husband’s nieces and nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Ray Dibbern; and a sister, Patricia McMurphy.

Memorial graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 30 in Holton Cemetery. Mercer Funeral Home in Holton is in charge of arrangements.
